ITHACA, N.Y. — Ithaca police are searching for a suspect that robbed a pizza delivery driver Monday.
A delivery driver for Domino’s told police he was delivering food in the area of 400 Elm St. when he was approached by a man who demanded his money. The suspect reportedly searched the delivery driver’s pockets before displaying a small black handgun. He again demanded money.
After the suspect searched the driver for a second time, he reportedly fired the gun twice into the road. The suspect then fled on foot toward the direction of West Village. The suspect stole a change pouch containing about $30 and various credit cards.
Police responded to the incident at 8:55 p.m. Monday. No one was injured, police said.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 5-feet 7-inches tall, thin build, wearing dark pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a baseball hat.
