ITHACA, N.Y. – A Trumansburg man was indicted in Tompkins County Court on Thursday morning on charges related to the sale of crack cocaine.

Alonzo J. Fair, 34, was arrested on Nov. 6 after allegedly trying to sell crack cocaine to an undercover police officer. Police say Fair offered to sell the drugs to an investigator in plain clothes in an unmarked vehicle. According to records, the car was parked between West State Street and North Plain Street just before 9:30 a.m.

Police say they apprehended the defendant and found a bag containing crack cocaine in his possession.

Fair has been charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Further court dates are to be decided.
