ITHACA, N.Y. — Last month, we had the opportunity to learn from representatives of Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) programs in Seattle and Albany. We learned that at the core of every successful LEAD program is strong community involvement, on equal footing with all other key players.
Today we are coming together for the first time as a community to begin building our own Ithaca LEAD, and to set the groundwork for the Community LEADership Board.
Please join us for the kick-off of our community-wide effort to build a LEAD program in Ithaca that serves our community needs. The meeting will be held at 4pm in Southside Gym, food & childcare provided.
