ITHACA, N.Y. — On Wednesday evening at 7:37 p.m., the New York State Police responded to the report of an armed robbery at Top Shelf Liquor Store on Danby Road in the town of Ithaca. A suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen walking north toward the city of Ithaca.
The suspect is described as a black male, tall with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a colored hat, dark colored jacket, blue jeans, and boots. The suspect had a raspy voice and covered his face during the robbery with a white bandana.
The State Police were assisted at the scene by Ithaca Police Department, Ithaca College Public Safety, Cornell University Police Department and a K9 dog from the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office.
