ITHACA, N.Y. — The family of Ithaca woman Nicole Marranca, who has been missing since August, is now offering a reward to anyone who comes forward with a tip that leads to the woman being found or reunited with her family.
Marranca was last seen on Aug. 18 at the Economy Inn, located at 658 Elmira Road in Ithaca. Her family has said they received tips that she left that location with a man in a black pickup truck, but officials have not confirmed those details.
Ithaca police has said that investigators have exhausted all major leads in the case, and are asking for the public’s help in finding Marranca.
A reward of $1,000 for a tip that leads directly to finding Marranca was recently announced on the social media page Find Nicole Marranca.
“I’m waiting for the worst, but I’d love to hear the best,” her father Nick Marranca previously said.
He knows that things aren’t looking good for the safe return of Nicole. His daughter lived a lifestyle that was not a secret to her family.
She is addicted to heroin and worked as an escort to get money to feed her habit. She often posted provocative ads online looking for “dates.” She’d been arrested several times in the past. Many of her friends are also involved in drugs and sex work.
But that wasn’t always the lifestyle she lived.
Nick Marranca and her step-mother Kelley Marranca have asked people to consider how they would feel if it was their own daughter missing.
They are asking anyone with information about her disappearance or whereabouts to come forward.
Nicole Marranca is described as a white 28-year-old woman who is about 5-feet-4-inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds. She has blue eyes and her dark blonde hair was cut just above her shoulders when she went missing. She also has a red, white, and blue Grateful Dead tattoo between her shoulder blades.
