ITHACA, N.Y. — On November 17th, 2017 Ithaca Police Officers responded to an attempted armed robbery/ menacing that took place in the area of Terrace Placa and Linn Street at approximately 6:21 PM. The female victim reported that a heavy set black male, 6’00” tall, in his 20’s or 30’s, wearing all dark clothing with a hood up had turned around after passing her on foot and began following her. The victim turned around and saw that the male had a knife in his hand, at which point he demanded all of her money.

The victim reports that she ran into the road because a car was coming and she wanted to get them to stop. At this point the male suspect began to walk away. The car stopped for a short time and then drove away at which point the suspect started walking back towards her.

The victim stated that she then screamed that she was calling 911 and the suspect then turned and walked away from her to the north. The suspect was last seen walking north on Linn St. The suspect was not able to take any property from the victim.
