DRYDEN, N.Y. – A Dryden teen was arrested Tuesday after causing significant damage to a vehicle by punching the windshield.
New York State Police had been alerted that a crime had occurred at the William George Agency on Monday morning. After investigating, troopers found that a 16-year-old male punched and shattered the windshield of a van belonging to the agency.
Police indicated that the incident occurred while the teen was upset at a staff member.
The teen was treated for minor lacerations following the incident. It was later determined that the damage amounted to more than $250 dollars.
He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony. He was issued a ticket to be returned to Dryden Town Court on November 22.
