TRUMANSBURG, N.Y. — A garage in Ulysses went up in flames Thursday afternoon and caused significant damage to property inside an official said.

Firefighters were called to Jacksonville Road where they found the garage on fire and the homeowner attempting to extinguish the blaze.

Firefighters knocked out most of the major flames within about 30 minutes and remained at the scene for several hours to put out hot spots, Lt. Dan Dan Scherer, of the Trumansburg Fire Department, said in a news release.

T-burg firefighters were assisted at the scene by  Enfield and Interlaken Fire Departments, ans a Trumansburg Ambulance also responded to the fire.

No injuries were reported, and Scherer said the cause of the fire is being investigated by the New York State Fire Investigation team.
