ITHACA, N.Y. — A local food truck took home a Judge’s Choice award from the New York State Fair.

Gabriella’s Farm to Fork Food Truck received the award for their locally sourced Fried Chicken Cobb Salad. The food truck, established in 2015, sources its ingredients from farmers at the Ithaca Farmers Market.

The business is owned and operated by Jeff and Racheal Myers, with the help of Elizabeth Marland.

The fried chicken was served on a bed of greens provided by Oxbow Farms, and topped with tomatoes, peach and jalapeno grilled corn, onions, apple maple bacon, eggs, their signature dill pickles and edible flowers from their farm, Myers Family Farm, the owners said on Facebook.

Gabriella’s has a sister business at the Ithaca Farmers Market, Sunrise Samosa.

The food truck also served up a “unicorn milkshake” that Syracuse.com called one of the most decadent items at the fair. It was a real treat for people with a serious sweet tooth, which makes sense since the milkshake was dreamt up by the Myers’ 6 and 9-year-old daughters. The $8 milkshake was topped with whipped cream, Lucky Charms marshmallows, sprinkles, cotton candy and other sweets.

Gabriella’s Farm to Fork Food Truck does private events, wedding and a few large public events. Follow them on Instagram and Facebook for information on their next public events.
