ITHACA, N.Y. — Ithaca police are searching for a man who reportedly touched two women early Thursday  morning through their bedroom windows while they were sleeping.

The first report came at about 3:11 a.m. Thursday. Police responded to the 100 block of Cook Street regarding a “prowler complaint.”

The woman who reported the incident said she was asleep in her bedroom when she was suddenly awakened by a person touching her body while standing outside her bedroom window.

The woman called police, but the person fled before police arrived.

Police received another similar complaint at 5:26 a.m. Thursday on the 200 block of Delaware Avenue, about a quarter mile away.

The woman on Delaware Avenue told police she was also asleep in her bedroom when she was woken up by someone touching her body while standing outside her bedroom window.

Police have been unable to locate the “prowler” so far.

The suspect is described as a clean-shaven white man in his mid-30s.
