ITHACA, NY – GreenTree Garden Supply of Ithaca, NY, will host its Farm to Garden Days plant sales from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 27 and June 3. These plant sales will showcase transplants from local farmers who grow their plants in GreenTree premium soils.
Local farmers will be selling a wide variety of plants for the home and garden, including roses, heirloom tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, lettuce, broccoli and Brussel sprouts, as well as annual and perennial flowers. This year we’ve added kids’ activities, including playing in the dirt, planting seeds, painting pots, paper crafts, and coloring. These events are free and open to community members of all ages. While here, people can check out GreenTree potting soil manufacturing facility and talk to the scientist and gardening experts.
On May 27, farmers will include TC3 Farm from Dryden, Muddy Fingers Farm from Hector, Der Rosenmeister from Ithaca, Three Goats Farm from the Mohawk Valley and Sommarstuga Gardens from Interlaken.
On June 3, transplants will be available from West Haven Farm from Ithaca, Wyllie Fox Farm from Cato, Muddy Fingers Farm, TC3 Farm and Sommarstuga Gardens. The sale will happen in the parking lot of GreenTree at 606 Elmira Rd, Ithaca.
