Organizers of the upcoming Tompkins County Housing Summit are asking members of the community to share their housing stories.

The housing summit, planned for Nov. 30 and all day Dec. 1, will explore the local housing shortage from all points of view and examine solutions from other communities. The summit is open to anyone in the community, whether they live or work in Tompkins County.

As part of the summit, organizers would like to hear from the community about the housing issues they face. Stories will be shared at the summit.

People interested in sharing their experiences can upload a video or audio clip, share photos, or write a story on the summit’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/housing tompkins.

The summit will kick off Wednesday, Nov. 30 in Kulp Auditorium at Ithaca High School, 140 N. Cayuga St. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the program will begin at 7:30 p.m. On Thursday, the summit will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Space@Greenstar, 700 W. Buffalo St.

Both events are free. For more information, visit www.housingtompkins.com. Space is limited, and organizers recommend registering ahead of time.
