ITHACA–Last Saturday (the final day of the Ithaca Underground November Music Series), four pop, punk, and rock bands performed at the Community School of Music and Arts with more than 80 people in attendance. The night was headlined by Jeff Rosenstock, a well-known DIY punk rock musician and songwriter from Long Island.

Supported by San Jose punk trio Hard Girls and “sparkle pop feminist fuzz core” band Katie Ellen, the musicians took a moment to express their disappointment with the recent national election results, adding that nights full of love and music are more important now than ever.

In 2012, Rosenstock released his first solo album after 14 years of being frontman for Bomb the Music Industry, The Arrogant Sons of Bitches, and other New York bands. His latest solo album Worry came out last month.

The night’s show opened with ¡Viva Mayhem!, a ska/punk band based in Ithaca, NY.

Ithaca Underground’s November Music Series is an annual, multi-day event bringing a diverse collection of performances to the city.
