ITHACA, N.Y. — Multiple people are being hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a two-vehicle wreck happened near Ithaca College.

Sgt. Aaron Forbes, of the New York State Police, said police were called around 12:45 p.m. to the intersection of Danby Road and Alumni Street to respond to the crash, which involved a Collegetown Cab and blue car.

Forbes said “multiple people” were transported to a hospital via Bangs Ambulance, but was unable to specify exactly how many people or what their condition was.

The Ithaca Fire Department, Ithaca College police and Ithaca College Environmental Health and Safety personnel are also at the scene.

Traffic is delayed in the area and being diverted around the vehicles.

This is a developing story.
