ITHACA, N.Y. — Ready or not, here snow comes!!!

The National Weather Service is predicting that some areas throughout Upstate and the Southern Tier will see some of the first snowflakes of the season late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. While there is technically a 20 percent chance for snow in Ithaca Tuesday (And some people reporting that it’s sprinkling snow on South Hill Tuesday morning), the chance for snow boosts to 60 percent Wednesday and 90 percent early Thursday.

Most of Tompkins County will see less than an inch of snow, but areas north and east of the county could see more than two inches of the white stuff this week.

Winter drives a stake through the heart of this community, leaving some people like this:

(Only 239.5 days until summer, but who’s counting?)

And other people like this:

(We won’t point out who the weirdos are. You can guess all on your own.)

Where do you fall in the annual children-of-the-summer versus Gollum-of-the-winter debate? Let us know!
