ITHACA, NY – Ithaca is about to get a little less flavorful as local frozen yogurt shop Smart Yogurt will be closing its doors on December 15.

“Thank you for five delicious years!,” reads an announcement from the shop’s owners. “We want to thank all our guests — especially our regulars — for the loyal support that you have shown us over the past five years.”

Smart Yogurt opened in 2012 at 335 Elmira Road, and later expanded into a kiosk near the cinema in the Shops at Ithaca Mall.

The shop featured a rotating cast of classic and unique flavors, all made in-house, such as Cheesecake Escape, Blood-Orange Sorbet and, as expected for the fall season, Lucky Pumpkin. Customers can further customize their fro-yo experience with an assortment of 60 toppings including fruit, nuts and candies.

Aside from making a few last stops at the shop to try a new flavor or six, you might even be able to take home a little piece of the shop as Smart Yogurt will be selling some of their product and equipment in the coming months, like this cute thing:
