ITHACA, N.Y. — Police Officers and Firefighters are going to bat for charity in Ithaca’s Second Annual Police Vs Fire Charity Softball Game. Each year all of the proceeds from the game will benefit a different charity, and this year’s charity is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Central New York. The game is completely organized by local Ithaca Police Officers and Ithaca Firefighters, and sponsored by businesses and members of the Ithaca Community.

The game will be held at Ithaca College’s Kostrinsky Field on October 1st, 2016 at 4pm, gates open at 3pm. Tickets are $5, and will be sold in advance and at the gate. Advance tickets will be entered into an exclusive advance-ticket-only 50/50 drawing. You do not need to attend the game to win the 50/50.

In addition to entry into the ball game, tickets are good for a “bounce house” area next to the field.

Each ticket will also be entered into game-long raffles for door prizes. Items to be raffled off to ticket-
holders include Gift cards / certificates for Wegmans, Dryden Hotel, Mahogany Grill, Ithaca Beer Company, Gift bags with certificates from Maguire Family of Dealerships, Under Armour workout gear and VertX gear bag provided by United Uniform and much more!

Come out and see your local police officers and firefighters do their best to beat each other on the field. Fans are encouraged to wear blue or red to show support your favorite team!

Advance tickets can be purchased by logging on and sending a message to www.facebook.com/policefirecharitysoftball, emailing charitysoftball@ithacapba.org, or talking to an Ithaca Police Officer or Firefighter.

If you’re interested in donating or being a sponsor, or have questions, please send email to charitysoftball@ithacapba.org or mail to:
