ITHACA, NY – United Way of Tompkins County is delighted to announce that the Silo Food Truck – Winner of the 2016 New York State Fair Food Truck Competition, Judges Choice Award – will be at Stewart Park for the Day of Caring on September 15th.

Silo will be open from 11:30AM – 1:30PM and a portion of all sales from the food truck will be donated to the United Way Hunger & Food Security initiative.

The Day of Caring is an annual food drive and campaign kick off for United Way of Tompkins County. It will be held at the large pavilion at Stewart Park, Ithaca from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. At Noon there will be a brief program and the 2016/17 Community Campaign goal will be announced.

Last year over 8,000 pounds of food and personal care items were donated by the community during the Day of Caring. Donations can be brought directly to the Day of Caring or dropped off in advance at United Way of Tompkins County, 313 N. Aurora Street, Ithaca, NY.
