On Thursday, August 25, at 7:30 PM at Town of Ithaca Hall, 215 N. Tioga Street, voters in Tompkins County may attend a forum to meet the candidates who are vying to run for Tompkins County District Attorney on the Democratic line.
Candidates will introduce themselves and will respond to questions from the floor.
Per election law, the Tompkins County Democratic Committee will then hold a nominating session in the week following the September 13 primary to select one of those candidates to run on the Democratic line. Only County Committee members from the City and Towns will vote at that session.
The DA candidate who wins the majority of votes at that September session will appear on the November ballot on the Democratic line (row A).
Interested candidates and others with questions are encouraged to contact Tompkins County Democratic Chair Irene Stein at 266-7579.
Election Day is November 8
