Cornell University Police are investigating a theft at The Cornell Store over the weekend in which a thief stole cash from the store’s vault.

Employees at The Cornell Store at Ho Plaza contacted Cornell Police on Monday after noticing that someone had tampered with security cameras and taken cash from a secured safe over the weekend, authorities said.

A manager at The Cornell Store and a spokeswoman for Cornell Police declined to say exactly when the theft occurred or how much cash was stolen.

Investigators encouraged anyone with information about what may have happened to contact the Cornell Police Investigations Unit at 607-255-1111.
