Adam Robert Heck, 42, passed away on August 27, 2016.

He was born on June 10, 1974, to Richard Charles Heck and Nancy Jean Heck (Crowe) in Norwich, New York. Adam was a graduate of Hamilton High School, and Ithaca College. Adam was entering his 21st year as head coach for the Varsity Boys Soccer Team at Lansing Central School District, and became the Athletic Director and Dean of Students.

Adam was highly involved in the school and community, and had a love of teaching and engaging kids at all levels. Adam had a great love for walking miles on the wide open stream and finding that perfect fish on the end of his pole. He created and shared many fond memories with his family, friends and daughters on the streams, some of which will never be forgotten and always live on.

Adam is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Heck (Unser); his daughters, Alexis and Madisyn; his parents, Richard Charles Heck (Sandy) and Nancy Jean Heck (Crowe); his sister Stacie Fitzgerald (Justin); his brother Ryan Heck and Grandmother Merriam Crowe, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016, at the Bangs Funeral Home, in Ithaca, New York from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Adam’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at the Lansing High School Soccer Field at 12:30 p.m., with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Adam in a special way, can make a monetary contribution to The Adam Heck Memorial Fund at any Tompkins Trust Company office, or sent to Tompkins Trust Company, P.O. Box 460, Ithaca, New York 14851, Attention: Ursula Russ.
