TRUMANSBURG, NY – A passerby reported a house fire at 39 Cayuga Street in Trumansburg on Wednesday morning, according to Tompkins county dispatch.

The call came in at 10:36 a.m. Trumansburg fire department responded, with mutual aid from Ithaca, Interlaken, Ovid, Mecklenburg, Enfield and Newfield Fire Departments.

An all-county request for aid was put out, with Groton, Dryden and Cayuga Heights fire departments also responding, but the call was canceled before they arrived.

As of 12:10 p.m., Trumansburg has been releasing the mutual aid departments and the fire is believed to be under control, according to Tompkins county dispatch.

Initial reports indicate that there were no injuries and no one was home when the fire started, but that has not been confirmed.
