ITHACA, NY – Central New York’s premier gypsy swing band will close out Cornell’s free summer events series with a concert on the Cornell Arts Quad on Friday, August 5, at 7:00 p.m.

Inspired by Parisian guitarist Django Reinhardt and featuring jazz standards, Latin rhythms, and blues, Djug Django comprises a long list of local musical luminaries, including Eric Aceto (violin), Brian Earle (clarinet), Doug Robinson (guitar and vocals), Harry Aceto (guitar), Dave Davies (guitar, trombone, and vocals), Chad Lieberman (piano), Jim Sherpa (washtub bass), and Al Hartland (drums).

In case of thunderstorms or heavy rain, the concert will take place in Klarman Hall Auditorium.

Sponsored by Cornell University’s School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions, the free events series runs for six weeks every summer and includes concerts on the Arts Quad on Fridays, performances in indoor performance spaces on Tuesdays, and lectures at Call Auditorium in Kennedy Hall on Wednesdays.
