ITHACA, NY — Once you’ve found the fish fountain, you’ve found Gola Osteria!
Gola Osteria is recognized for its creative and seasonally rotating menu, and also, known for its charming location. It is located at 115 South Quarry Street, in the Quarry Arms building that many may know of as once being the Ithaca City Hospital.
Located off of State Street, about half a mile from the Ithaca Commons, the restaurant is nestled between the new Collegetown Terrace apartments and the Six Mile Creek gorge. Fun fact: “Gola” means “gorge” in Italian!
The entry of the restaurant is characteristically speakeasy style. Once you find the famous Gola Osteria fish fountain, there is a buzzer at the front door where guests buzz in. Once inside, there are signs directing diners to the restaurant. Gola Osteria also has a covered deck that is perfect for summer months, Sunday brunch and late night cocktails!
Whether you choose indoors or the deck, you will be met with innovative Italian fare and an ambient setting to enjoy it in.
Gola Osteria offers an array of menus, including brunch, dinner, takeout and catering. You can check those out at www.golaosteria.com where you can also book your reservation!
