ITHACA, NY – The Department of Public Works will be holding a Public Information Meeting to discuss the Cascadilla Creekway Project on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 6:00 PM in the second floor conference room of City Hall, 108 East Green Street, Ithaca, NY.

During this meeting, the City of Ithaca’s engineering staff and engineers from LaBella Associates will present project progress and receive input on proposed railing design alternatives for the project.

Project Description:

The Cascadilla Creekway Project will rehabilitate and enhance the 100 block of Cascadilla Avenue which is an important bicycle and pedestrian way along Cascadilla Creek. Concrete wall repairs will be made and a new railing system will be installed. Major pedestrian enhancements will be made at the intersections of Cascadilla Ave and Cayuga and Tioga Streets. A pedestrian bridge spanning Cascadilla Creek will be removed and replaced as part of this project.
