ITHACA, NY – If you’re a fan of vintage rock ‘n’ roll, you’ll want to be on the Cornell Arts Quad on Friday, July 15, for a rollicking free concert with Radio London, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
An Ithaca institution, Radio London is dedicated to bringing new life to gems from the golden age of Top 40 radio. Their repertoire of foot-tapping, booty-shaking tunes from the Animals to the Zombies includes such favorites as “Jailhouse Rock,” “She Loves You,” “Dream Lover,” and “Brown-Eyed Girl.”
In case of thunderstorms or heavy rain, the concert will take place in Klarman Hall Auditorium.
The concert is sponsored by Cornell University’s School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions as part of Cornell’s free summer events series, which runs from June 28 to August 5 and includes concerts on the Arts Quad, performances at Klarman Hall Auditorium, and lectures at Call Auditorium in Kennedy Hall.
