DANBY, N.Y. — A man is being accused of sexually abusing a child less than 13-years-old, state police said.

Matthew Williams, of Candor, is charged with felony first-degree sex abuse and two counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child.

His arrest follows an investigation of an incident that was reported last week.

An investigation determined that Williams had sexual contact with a person less than 13-years-old and gave both the victim and another child alcohol.

Williams was arraigned in the Town of Danby Court and was remanded to the Tompkins County jail in lieu of posting $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 property bond.  His next court date in the Town of Danby is pending.
