David Reap, 21, has been charged with first-degree attempted rape and first-degree sexual abuse, both felonies, police said.

He was arraigned in Groton Town Court Wednesday and taken to Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Reap was previously indicted in December 2015 in the rape of a teenager for an incident that occurred in September of that year. He was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child on the same date.

Groton police were not immediately available for comment Wednesday afternoon.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
