TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. — A Chemung County woman was indicted Thursday in Tompkins County on felony assault charges stemming from a December incident, court records show.

Melissa B. Winslow, 27, of Elmira Heights, was indicted on a misdemeanor for fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two felonies for first-degree assault and second-degree assault.

According to court documents, she attacked at least one person with a glass bottle in Tompkins County on Dec. 13. She was arrested for the crime by Ithaca police on Jan. 6.

Her attorney for the case is Scott Pautz and the case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Gary Surdell.
