Challenge yourself at this year’s Tough Turtle adventure obstacle race, a 5K designed to push your body, challenge your wit, and deliver the mud. Climb, sprint, crawl and slide through the course along the Cayuga Waterfront and Black Diamond Trails on the south shore of Cayuga Lake. All proceeds benefit the Ithaca Children’s Garden.

Presented by the Comic Book Club of Ithaca, ITHACON 41 is a classic comic book convention where you can peruse tens of thousands of collectible comics and meet special guest artists and writers. Other highlights include cosplay, classic anime films, gaming tournaments, and a Charity Geek Trivia competition.

This film takes a look at seven communities around the world, with the proposition that we can seize the crisis of climate change to transform our failed economic system into something radically better. The film screening and panel discussion kicks-off the Climate Solutions Fair, which takes place on April 23rd in Press Bay Alley.

24th Annual Wine & Herb Festival
Enjoy local cuisine infused with fresh herbs that pair perfectly with wine! Ticket holders will receive a souvenir wine glass, a garden plant and carrier, as well as a potted herb or veggie from every participating winery along the way.

4-H Duck Race & Color Splash Run
Come watch 3,400 bright yellow ducks tumble over Cascadilla Falls. Follow your ducks as they race down Cascadilla Creek and cheer them on to the finish line! The 5K and 3K Fun Runs/Walks will take place along the Cayuga Waterfront Trail. There will be a color splash component along the route where participants are be splashed with non-toxic bursts of color!

Evening Wildflower Walk
Tour the woodland pathways and plant habitats of the Mundy Wildflower Garden, an 8-acre natural plot of land covered with naturalistic gardens. Early spring is the ideal season for education in natural history and the identification of wildflowers, including Dutchman’s breeches, trillium, bloodroot, and Solomon’s seal.

Spring Writes Literary Festival
The four day festival features more than 30 literary themed events, all happening in downtown Ithaca. Events include workshops, panel discussions, a storytelling competition, comedy open mic, and Literary Jeopardy!

Old Mexico is a relatively new, family-run restaurant in Ithaca serving the full Mexican experience. The restaurant and cantina offer traditional Mexican fare, and the full bar features margaritas, Mexican and domestic beers, and several dozen tequilas.
