Sanders won 62 percent of the vote in Tompkins to Clinton’s 38 percent.

Statewide, however, Clinton triumphed, winning about 58 percent of the vote.

Meanwhile, the Republican vote in Tompkins was quite close — with Trump edging out John Kasich by just a few percentage points with Ted Cruz trailing behind.

Trump fared much better throughout the rest of New York State, winning handily with 60 percent of the vote.
