LANSING, NY – Classes in sushi making, boxing, hip-hop dance, robotics, zombie apocalypse training, and wilderness survival are not part of the usual curriculum at Lansing High School.

However, on April 5th, 2016, LHS will host “C Day” (a celebration of community), where students will take a break from academic courses and engage in hands-on learning through activities, workshops, and discussions led by guest speakers and fellow peers.

The goal is to bring the building together for a day of lighthearted activities while supporting the community’s many charitable organizations. The day will include time for students to engage in volunteer opportunities and learn about services those organizations provide.

Students in the Race, Class and Gender elective have been working all year on this event which has more than 75 offerings for students and teachers to attend throughout the day.
