ITHACA, N.Y. — A bicyclist was airlifted to a regional trauma center Friday night after the male rider slammed into a parked car, police said.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. on the 300 block of East Falls Street.
Ithaca police said that when they arrived at the scene, the man was in the road with a “traumatic head injury” along with injuries to his hands.
The man was flown to a regional trauma center with injuries that are not life threatening.
The Ithaca Fire Department, Bangs Ambulance and a Guthrie Air helicopter also responded to the scene.
