ITHACA, NY – Starting on Monday, Apr. 25, the 600, 700, and 800 blocks of South Aurora Street will be closed for construction, according to a notice from the City of Ithaca.

The notice indicates that streets and facilities crews will be performing draining inlet repair, pipe repair, curbing and guardrail installation, milling and paving in the area.

While the work is being done, South Aurora Street will be closed to all traffic.  Outside of these hours, local residents’ vehicles will be allowed access at their own risk.  Any vehicles found parked on the street after 7:00 AM will be tagged and towed at the owner’s expense.

Coddington Road to Hudson Street is the recommended detour.

Work is scheduled to complete on May 17, weather permitting.
