ITHACA, N.Y. — Police are looking for a man they say robbed an Ithaca Subway restaurant at gunpoint Saturday night.

Police responded around 8:45 p.m. to the restaurant at 401 Elmira Road after an employee at the restaurant reported that a man had robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of money.

The clerk told officers that while getting ready to close the restaurant, a man entered wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt and black ski mask. The man pulled out a gun and demanded that the clerk open the register.

After taking the money from the drawer, the man then ran from the restaurant toward Spencer Road.

The robber is described as a black male of average build with a dark complexion. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark sweatpants, and a black ski mask.

No injuries were reported.
