ITHACA, NY – Spring is here and it’s time to start thinking about planting seeds! Seedy Sunday, the fourth annual Ithaca seed swap, is taking place this Sunday, March 20 from 11 am to 3 pm at CCE Tompkins.

All are invited to bring seeds they have saved themselves, or surplus seeds that they purchased, to share with other gardeners. Some of Ithaca’s avid seed savers will be there with unusual varieties that are hard to find anywhere else! This is a great opportunity to learn more about seed saving from experienced seed savers.

There will also be information on starting plants from seeds and demonstrations on seed cleaning and constructing a light stand for starting plants.

Admission is free for those who bring seeds to share, otherwise there is a suggested $5.00 donation. CCE Tompkins is located at 615 Willow Avenue, just off Dey Street near the Ithaca Farmer’s Market.

For more information or questions, contact Chrys Gardener at cab69@cornell.edu or at 272-2292 ext. 241.
