The incident reportedly happened Tuesday when, around 11 a.m., a female student said she was assaulted on the pathway between Barnes Hall and Olin Hall. The man who assaulted her then fled the area.

The victim described the perpetrator as a college-aged white male with brown hair, wearing a black jacket and jeans.

A spokesperson for the university said Tuesday morning that the case is still open and being investigated.

CUP are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 607-255-1111.

Correction: This story initially misreported the date the assault happened, stating instead the date it was announced by CUPD.
