ITHACA,N.Y. — An Ithaca man is facing a felony charge after police say he sold a prescription drug in Collegetown.

Wyatt A. Piazza, 21, is charged with felony fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance after he was taken into custody Monday.

Officials said Piazza’s arrest was the result of an investigation into prescription drug sales in the Collegetown. The investigation involved members of the Cornell University Police, Ithaca Police Special Investigations Unit, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, and the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team.

Piazza was arraigned in initially held at the Tompkins County Jail, but has been released on $3,500 cash bail.
