Ithaca Loves Teachers Winter Recess
Winter Recess, now in its 10th year, is a celebration of pre- through K-12 classroom teachers and school district employees in the region. Ithaca will come together for a week to celebrate educators with entertainment, activities, family fun and discounts throughout the Tompkins County community.

Peter and the Starcatcher
Peter and the Starcatcher is a swashbuckling, musical adventure! This grown-up’s prequel to Peter Pan is an innovative theatrical extravaganza featuring a dozen actors playing over 100 unforgettable characters.
Location: Kitchen Theatre
The 18th Annual Great Downtown Ithaca Chili Cook-off features chili prepared by approximately 30 restaurants as they compete for the titles of Best Meat/Overall Chili, Best Vegetarian, and People’s Choice Chili. In addition there will be a farmers market with vendors, local wineries, breweries, and farmer’s sampling their goods.

Festival of Fire & Ice
An annual celebration of winter outdoor play, the festival provides time and space for us to remember the winter games we love and to discover new ways to play. Ice sculptures, sledding, hot chocolate, snow fort and den building, bonfires, and so much more!

The New York Rock
The New York Rock has been one of Ithaca’s shining stars since its founding in February 2008 by Mike Brindisi (Guitars/Vocals) and John O’Leary (Keyboards). In the time since, they have seen their profile grow nationwide and are now back to play where it all started.

Sara Davis Buechner
Pianist Sara Davis Buechner is one of the leading keyboard artists of our time. She has an active repertoire of over 100 piano concertos, numerous critically acclaimed recordings, and prominent commissions and premières of new works and film scores to her credit.

The third production of Ithaca Shakespeare Company’s history plays, Henry V, is both a patriotic play and an anti-war play, and the culmination of the coming-of-age story. It has romance and comedy, some of Shakespeare’s greatest speeches, and a devastating battle sequence that is unlike anything else that Shakespeare wrote.

Sing Along with Frozen
When their kingdom becomes trapped in perpetual winter, fearless Anna joins forces with loyal friends to find her sister, Elsa, and break the icy spell. Frozen is fun for the whole family, and everyone is encouraged to sing along!

Ithaca Underground Fundraiser 2016
Ithaca Underground kicks off its 2016 fundraising efforts on to support a full year of event programming with an evening of performances, showcasing innovative local rock, ska, funk, and circus. Featured performances by Anna Coogan, Scopes Monkey Trial, Circus Culture, Mary and Billy from Madder Rose, & Viva Mayhem.

14th Annual Mardi Gras
Travel winery to winery along the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail to sample their Mardi Gras-inspired dish and sip their fine wines. You’ll also take home a recipe card featuring that dish, beads and a chance to win a prize at each winery!

Concord’s Maine Squeeze
Concord’s Maine Squeeze is a juice bar that offers fresh squeezed veggies, fruits, and herbs, as well as several lunch options of soup, salad and sandwiches. The menu changes seasonally so be sure to check out what is freshest in season! They are located in Center Ithaca on the downtown Ithaca Commons.
