NEWFIELD, N.Y. — Two Newfield men have been charged with first-degree rape after a teen reported being sexually assaulted Sunday, police said.

Leslie M. Youst, 18, and Jeffrey W. Ponton, 46, of Main Street in the town of Newfield, have both been charged with the felony.
The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office said the teen reported being sexually assaulted to the Tompkins County 911 Communication Center. No additional details are being released by police at this time.
Youst and Ponton were arraigned before Judge Chernish in the town of Newfield Court, police said.
Both men are remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of posting $100,000 cash or $200,000 bail bond. They are scheduled to reappear in court on Thursday.
