“The death of my sister-in-law Carolynn has devastated my brother Roger and their children along with the rest of the family.  Carolynn’s life was cut short way to soon and unexpectedly,” wrote Chris Weidman on the memorial’s GoFundMe page.

“I wish so much to be able to take the pain away from my brother, but sadly I can’t.  The only thing I can do is to try and help him through the darkest hours of his life with the help of our family and friends and try to relieve some of the financial burdens that this has placed on the family,” wrote Weidman.

Over $2,700 out of the $10,000 requested has been donated to the fund at the time of this writing.

Carolynn Weeks, 54, of Newfield went missing on Tuesday, Feb. 9. She did not return home after work as her family expected.

Searches over the next week and some days turned up no new information. On Thursday, Feb. 18, snowmobilers found Weeks’ car in a remote area of Connecticut Hill in Newfield.

A police search the next day found Weeks dead near her vehicle. An investigation is ongoing, but police do not suspect foul play.
