NEWFIELD, N.Y. — A man is facing multiple charges after a rollover accident happened in Newfield near the end of January, police said.

The crash happened around 11:22 p.m. on Jan. 26  near Van Kirk Road and Main Street in the town of Newfield.

Officials said that Jason S. Corey, of Willseyville in Tioga County, was taken to a hospital for treatment after being injured in the rollover.

Police said Corey was impaired and had marijuana in his possession at the scene. He also had a revoked drivers license from previous DWI related convictions.

Corey has been charged with felony driving while intoxicated, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and violations for refusal to take breath test, improper passing, speed violation, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

He’s scheduled to appear in the town of Newfield court on Feb. 23 at 1 p.m.
