ITHACA, NY – An upcoming forum about the heroin and opioid epidemic will focus on treatment options in this area, including medical, outpatient, residential, and self-help.

The forum will take place Thursday, January 28, 5:00-6:30 p.m., at the BorgWarner Room of the Tompkins County Public Library, 101 E. Green Street, Ithaca.

The event, cosponsored by the Community Coalition for Healthy Youth;, the Alcohol & Drug Council of Tompkins County; the Mental Health Association in Tompkins County; Tompkins County Youth Services; and Tompkins County Health Department, is a follow-up forum to the initial community meeting on the issue held last fall.

Speakers at the forum will include representatives of the Alcohol & Drug Council, Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services, and the Ithaca Health Alliance.  There will be time for questions and answers.
