ITHACA, N.Y. — Remember when it used to snow in Ithaca?

If that seems like a vague notion of the past, that’s because warm temperatures from El Niño have kept much of the northeast at an abnormally high weather stand-still.

For instance, every day from now until the rest of the weekend, it will be at least 10 degrees above normal for this time of year — creeping toward a possible record high on Saturday. Accuweather says it will be 56 degrees and the record high set in 1979 is 59 degrees.

But that doesn’t mean we haven’t seen a little bit of what makes Ithaca beautiful this time of year.
