ITHACA, NY – An Ithaca man has been charged in the stabbing of his roommate early Tuesday morning.

Officers from the Ithaca Police Department responded to a reported stabbing on the 400 block of South Geneva St. at around 12:33am Tuesday morning and determined that during an argument, one roommate had stabbed another.
Jason Johnson, 20, was charged with felony second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
The victim, who had a stab wound on his right forearm and lacerations on his hands and torso, was taken to a hospital by Bangs Ambulance, according to police.
Johnson was released on his own recognizance Tuesday morning by Judge Scott Miller.
