According to a report from the Cornell Daily Sun, Dunbar’s is now closed up for good. The bar served Collegetown for 36 years.
The Sun had previously reported that the owner, Dave Pepin, had been wanting to sell the establishment since 2003, as he wanted to spend more time with family. No further information about the closure was available, per the Daily Sun.
Dunbar’s is the latest casualty in a series of bar closures in the last few years.
In July, 2015, the sudden closure of Stella’s shocked many.
If nothing else, it serves as a reminder to treat your favorite watering holes with love – you never know when they might be gone.
