Nicholas M. Feminella, 20, of Danby, was taken into custody by New York State Police at Ithaca on Tuesday, officials said.
He’s charged with a felony for promoting a sexual performance by a child less than 17 years old and a felony possessing a sexual performance by a child less than 16 years old.
Officials said the arrest occurred after a search warrant was executed at Feminella’s home due to an investigation conducted by the NYSP Computer Crime Unit.
Police said Feminella was arraigned at the Town of Danby court and was remanded to the Tompkins County jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 property bond. An official at the jail said he’s still in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.
A felony hearing is scheduled for Nov. 6 in the Town of Danby court, officials said.
