ITHACA, N.Y. — Someone was robbed at gunpoint in Fall Creek on Saturday night, according to an Ithaca Police Department news release.

Ithaca police responded around 9:52 p.m. Saturday to a report of a robbery at the intersection of South Aurora Street and Falls Street.

There, they learned that a male suspect pointed a handgun at a victim and demanded money. The man then “forcefully took” the victim’s purse and began running west, according to the news release.

The victim was not physically injured in the attack.

Ithaca police say the suspect was a black male, approximately 5’8-6’0, medium build, who was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and a black cloth covering his face and dark colored pants.
