Michelle Drake, 47, was struck by a vehicle around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Kirk Road and Route 13. She died Friday of her injuries, said Sgt. Michael Soroka, of the New York State Police.

He said the incident happened as 66-year-old Mark O’Malley, of Freeville, was driving westbound on Route 13 south. Soroka said Drake, who was not in a crosswalk, was in the road when she was struck.

He said she was taken in an ambulance to Cayuga Medical Center and then transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania.

Police said O’Malley is not facing charges for the incident.
