ITHACA, N.Y. — Expect more rain in Ithaca Friday because storms are expected to start again around 10 a.m., reports say.

The Weather Channel is forecasting that occasional rain is expected to start around 10:15 a.m., and will increase to a 50 percent chance of rain by noon.

The rain is expected to be heaviest throughout the afternoon and become more scattered as the evening goes on, the report says.

The National Weather Service says most of the showers should end by 9 p.m. when temperatures will dip into the lower 40s.

Rainfall between a quarter and half an inch is possible throughout the day, the weather service reports.

The weekend will likely clear up to be mostly sunny with seasonal temperatures.

According to the Accuweather website, temperatures are about normal for this time of year with highs in the lower 60s and lows around 40 degrees.
